Every year not only in Samcholing School but schools in whole Bhutan celebrate Teachers Day at School with that day it was celebrated Birth Anniversary of Third Drukgyalpo(Jigme Dorji Wangchuck). It was celebrated to show how much we are thankful towards Teachers and the third drukgyalpo who worked hard for us.

The celebration began with warm welcome to all the teaching staff and all the non-teaching staff. Then we sing (Zhapten), National Anthem, and lighting a butter lamp by Principal and teachers. After that Cake cutting ceremony by principal (Mr. Sonam Jamtsho). Then a warm welcome speech by Games Captain (Mr. Tshering Tenzin). He spoke on how thankful he was, and he was glad to be a student of Samcholing School. After finishing a welcome speech. The captain came on the stage, and they were welcome dancer. The next program was class dance mixed (7,8,9, and10) according to list   and in the middle of the program there was a game for teacher and staff. Around 12:30 the lunch was served to teachers in the dining hall and students were served near the kitchen. After finished eating lunch football was played between male teachers and boys.

The celebration of Teachers Day at School was a memorable, bringing the students and teachers together to celebrate the Teachers Day. We the student of Samcholing are so lucky to have a genius teacher to teach us. We feel so safe at school because of teachers. We want to Thank all the teachers on the world and Happy Teachers Day.
